The Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL) is pleased to present the annual Ontario Health Leaders Summit (OHLS). Hosted by the CCHL Ontario Chapters (Eastern Ontario Chapter, Greater Toronto Area Chapter, Hamilton and Area Chapter, Neon Lights Chapter, Northwestern Ontario Chapter, and Southwestern Ontario Chapter) this summit presents an opportunity for health leaders across Canada to explore themes and learn from the challenges that Ontario health leaders are facing.

The summit will be held in virtually on April 5, 2022 and is open to participants from across the country.

The way now! Renewed leadership for integrated care

Following two years of a global pandemic, now more than ever, health care leaders are faced with teams experiencing an unprecedented level of fatigue, burnout, conflict, and mental duress. Issues of staff shortages, multiple competing priorities, disruptions in services, and financial issues necessitate effective, evidence-based strategies to replenish their leaders and teams. The summit will share evidence of best practices for leaders looking to recover and replenish their leaders and teams as we work to rebuild a stronger healthcare system for the future.

The pandemic has also served to spotlight the critical necessity of greater integration across the care continuum which has propelled organizations to think, and act beyond their organizational walls. The drive towards an integrated healthcare system is not a new one in Ontario. In this summit, leaders will discuss the ways they have sought to accelerate greater integration across the care continuum during the pandemic, and what is needed to continue with an intentional and dedicated effort towards integration in a post-pandemic world.

Attendance at this program entitles certified Canadian College of Health Leaders members (CHE / Fellow) to 2.5 Category I credits towards their maintenance of certification requirement for attending the summit.
