The Canadian Institute for Health Information (CIHI) is releasing updated data that explores how the pandemic has affected emergency department visits, access to hospital care — including surgeries and intensive care units — and how Canadians received care from physicians. The information we published last year reflects an early picture of the pandemic in the spring (March to June 2020), and this update covers the evolving story for the summer and fall (March to December 2020).
